lakenaiad is an incredible writer. I say that she is incredible because she bothers to do historical research for her posts. Her descriptions are vivid, you feel as if you are right there in the scene with the characters. Her dialogue is sharp and she understands her characters intimately. They never sound forced, or melodramatic. To my mind, she has written, without a shadow of a doubt the absolute best POTC fic I have read to date on LJ or anywhere else. Well done, Mate! If you keep up like this, you are well on your way to publication, I would be willing to bet!
