I just had a call from a "Doctor's Office" insisting that she wanted essential oils that were certified organic and wild crafted and ingestible. She was none to happy when informed that there is no such animal. Apparently she has been hanging out with friends who sell Young Living essential oils and they insist that their oils are certified organic and wild crafted.

Umm....no. They can't be. Even if you were to harvest an herb from a National Forest, that has never had pesticides touch its pristine beauty for the entire history of our country you cannot "certify it" as Organic. Wild crafting and organic certification don't work that way. Sorry. I live in a wilderness area. No pesticides have touched a single bit of my land in the ten years that I have lived there. I don't have organic certification....and Iam not sure that I would want it because it costs $1000 a year to get it. Im not a commercial grower, its not worth it to me.

Another point of contention was her insistance on having organic frankincense oil. (What IS it with these people?!) That doesn't exist either. Boswellia carterii grows in the deserts of the Sudan, Somalia, India and throughout the Middle East. Its sort of an impossibility to certify it as organic. *grin*
