None of the above!
Apr. 22nd, 2003 10:24 amI just went to check my email and one of those annoying pop-up ads...yeah, I know, I can get one of the pop up killer programs, but if I do that, I can't do any work on PanHistoria, and it will kill all my incoming site grams. No thanks. Anyway, the ad was
"Which is the sexiest man in Hollywood?"
Ben Afleck, Vin Diesel, George Clooney or Brad Pitt?
These are all the choices?! Who thinks up these questions? Are they out of thier minds? Speaking only for myself, I don't find one thing sexy about a single one of them! I don't find their looks, their personality or their acting ability even remotely appealing. Let's rewrite that one. I need to figure out a way to put up my own survey *scouting around Livejournal*
Hey, isn't something like this really a matter of opinion? I mean just because I think that Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins improve with age like a fine vintage wine, doesn't mean anyone else agrees with me. And just because I think William L. Petersen (CSI: Crime Scene Investigators) is pretty hot stuff, doesn't mean anyone else does!
Gimme Al or William over Brad, Vin, Ben or George ANY DAY!

Date: 2003-04-22 11:55 am (UTC)You are, of course, 100% right concerning these stupid "surveys." It isn't a CHOICE when a subset is given for one to vote for---- four people out of six billion?! What kind of "choice" is that?!
This is why I think political parties in America should be outlawed: citizens are GIVEN by our masters only two people to "chose" from, and we are supposed to pick which we believe will do the least injury to us.

Date: 2003-04-22 12:25 pm (UTC)My question is what is considered sexy? In my book its self confidence and self respect -when a person has those things, it seems, they have less of a need to play the world-domination, and codependent b.s. games.
As for political systems - frankly I think the tribal system, with the grandmothers and elders being in charge...that worked. If you cant please the little wise women, then probably no one is going to be happy! ;-)

Date: 2003-04-23 11:57 pm (UTC)I do not know what makes a person attractive. I do accept the fact that much of it is genetic: women choose men who increase their potential children's survival. Men "choose" anyone who will have them.
I'm a bundle of self-confidence and self-respect, and no woman has ever found me "sexy." (I'm quite sure.)
Rather than having Grandmothers in charge (though I like the idea), why not have *NOBODY* in charge? Adults do not need leaders. The USA does not need a president.
omg!

Date: 2003-04-22 03:04 pm (UTC)As for David Bowie - oh yeeeessssss!!!! After his portrayl of Jareth, the Goblin King, I always knew he was the only man who could ever play Raistlin Majere in the Dragonlance series. ;-)

Date: 2003-04-23 03:18 am (UTC)I like CSI a lot too, all the men in it are fairly attractive to me.
for the record, I do think Vin Diesel's attractive, but because of his voice and his laugh. His skin makes me think of warmed velvet because of the lovely color.
uh, I'll stop now, we dont need more poetry.
