I had a wonderful weekend at Tawy House. We spent the time ripping up the second floor bathroom tile and flooring and fixtures. I was talking to my boss, Robyn, and she said, "Geez, girl! You're going from one rennovation product to another!" That much is definitely true. I then proceeded to come home and not twenty minutes after being here, was up on the roof cleaning out the chimney. It's gotten cold out here, so we are probably going to need to build a fire this week. I will probably have to do fire brick one of these nights, hopefully before we get a hard freeze.
I ended up getting something that I have been wanting for about ten years. All One Tribe Drum was a company that was out of Taos, NM, and they had a lot of different American Indian artists. The one that I really wanted was by Lakota drum artist, Carl Winters. Recently, All One Tribe Drum went out of business. Dua Netjer for eBay, because I managed to find one of the Buffalo Spirit Drum, by Carl Winters there. I got it just before I went to Chicago, and the tone is absolutely beautiful! :) I got it at a very good price, and it was worth the ten year wait, even though I would have loved to have carried this line of drums at Wild Thyme. Hopefully I can find something similar for folks to have instead.
So tonight I will be doing some writing, catching up and whatnot. I am perusing other LJ's. It is amazing what I miss in a day! I have an email box full of spam. Good thing I am with google mail now, I may end up shifting it all over there and let the unimportant non-temple stuff go to my old Sekhmet address.
