Sep. 24th, 2004 09:09 amI spent last evening chatting to folks, writing and also cleaning out my LJ communities. Somehow, the prospect of having almost 170 different communities, went beyond stupid for me. It would take me two hours during any given point of the day, it seemed, to catch up on all my reading. So, away goes the dead weight and the really redundant groups, or ones that I have simply grown away from. I just don't have time for it anymore.
I read a very good article by
theferrett, in it he mentions another article entitled, 'What if America were like Iraq. It is a pretty sobering perspective and brings into sharp focus just what the Iraqi's must be going through. I would encourage folks to read the whole series
theferrett has written on why he is for John Kerry. I know I am getting way political lately, but we really need to wake up and look around at what is happening in this country. We are on the edge of multiple disasters, and the threat is not Al-Qaida, it's us and our collective complacency. We cannot, in my opinion, afford to be apathetic a moment longer.

Date: 2004-09-24 07:23 pm (UTC)Florida is under a hurricane watch. Unless she turns, the likelihood of Jeane hitting the Palm Beaches or an area between the Palm Beaches and Orlando, is extremely high. By the time
she hits, she should be a category 3 storm.
Please pray for the people in the Florida, Georgia and the Carolina area if you have any members.
Thanks
N.
