I just saw a link to this over in [livejournal.com profile] bush_sucks I missed 60 Minutes last night and Bob Woodward's interview, but you can bet I am going to read the book that came out today.

Absolutely AMAZING....

That was really unsettling.

I will definitely be picking up a copy of Woodward's book tomorrow.

I'm not surprised at all. It seems the truth about the whole terrorist/Iraq situation has been kept from the people for quite some time. And it's sad how the President, the man who is responsible for an entire NATION took it upon himself to create a wall of fabrication to hide the truth. It's sad, and extremely embarassing.

What was really telling for me was the portion about Secretary of State, Colin Powell. I knew in my gut before we went to war, he was not for it. I KNEW it!! I kept telling myself, at the time, if he is spending this much time with the UN, maybe, just maybe, he and the rest of the International community can talk some sense into his hillbilly arse.

Well, now we know more of the truth. I heard an interview with several people from East St. Louis which is mostly predomininatly African American. The people interviewed said they wouldn't be voting for Kerry so much as against Bush. One man said, "I'd rather elect Satan for president than to see that man in the White House for another term!"

That says something to me!

It says a lot, but it's not bothering me as much as it should. Maybe because I'm not a fan of politics. Probably because I've taken on the "Ignorance is bliss" role since Bush set foot in office. I knew his time in office was going to be a trial for the country since the election. And the result of his handiwork is obvious: crime is going up nationwide, cost of living went up to make more money to keep the treasurey from going bankrupt(thanks to his blind spending on war), jobs have been reduced, it's just plain madness. What Clinton built despite the whole Lewinsky uproar, Bush managed to destroy. And it's disturbing how Bush managed to destroy it all within a matter of MONTHS.

If I could re-write the rules in regards to Presidential terms, I would change the two-term rule to THREE, and have Clinton back in office. I'd rather have a President who's getting some on the side and does his job PROPERLY,instead this hillbilly who went AWOL, did drugs, and somehow escalated to Presidency using corruption and lies.

...But that's just my opinion of course.

Yep. This is quite revealing. He's goin' DOWN.

They all are. I find it rather chilling too, that revelation of Bush: 'don't ask his daddy for advice cause he's not STRONG enough...but only answerable to a higher Father.' Like, whoa.

Thanks for this link. Utterly gobsmacking.

He is a Calvinist Dominionist - he belives in the manifest destiny of Pentecostal Christians and their right to rule over this Earth. I wish I were kidding, but Im not.

And *sniff* I miss you, sweetie! I've not seen you in forever it seems! Pop on and say hi sometime! :)
